“Delfina Delettrez Fendi is a designer and jeweller based in Rome. She founded her company, Delfina Delettrez, in 2007. Since the inception of her brand, she has developed a signature perspective using a wide material vocabulary, manifested in her original use of figurative surrealism and natural iconography including hands, eyes, bees, and lips. These adorn different parts of the anatomy, in a continuous game of echoes.”

Over the last years, Delfina Delettrez‘s distinctive point of view has influenced contemporary jewelry. If you are fond of different, original jewelry, you may want to stop by her new shop which she opened this week on Mount Street – the second in the world after Rome.
Her courage has contributed to her success, and her style reminds of Wallis Simpson. She designs rings that only reveal their designs when the person wearing it, flashes the palms of their hands, which is very sinister, but charming nonetheless.
Her jewels are not minimalist, but she manages not to look like a Christmas tree, when she’s wearing several midi-rings, that remind of dominoes with their black-and-white diamonds.
In a few years, she has shaken up the jewelry world and everyone started designing single earrings, midi-rings and pimping pears. So the young Designer decided to distance herself from all the copyists by moving away from silver into gold (because gold is forever, whereas silver eventually tarnishes), platinum and the highest grade diamonds, emeralds and sapphires and created a new collection, called Handroid.
