Produced at the Montblanc Artisan Atelier, this finished product is a shining example of the manufacturer’s skilled craftsmanship. The detailing of the pen’s body is inspired by Kandinsky’s artistic journey from Moscow to Weimar and Paris. It features a skeletonised cap made using 18k white gold, accentuated by geometrical shapes with a 3D layered effect.
This fountain pen’s nib is engraved with the initials of Kandinsky—‘K’, and its crown is a single diamond suspended in a clear sapphire, surrounded by two rows of diamonds. The Kandinsky Artisan Edition fountain pen is limited to just 77 pieces, in line with the artist’s age at the time of his death.
Montblanc was first established in 1906 with the vision to create a writing instrument that brings a revolution in the industry. Started by August Eberstein, Alfred Nehemias and Claus-Johannes Voss, the company proved its vision by introducing the first pen with leak-proof technology; ever since, there was no looking back. 110 years-later, this luxury brand celebrates her anniversary with a tribute to a master of abstract art, Wassily Kandinsky.
