Most Expensive Car: The MayBach Exelero

While not a production car, the Maybach Exelero is the most expensive road-going car in the world. This car has only one model, owned by Dr. André Action Diakité Jackson who lent the car to his friend Jay-Z to drive in his music video ”Lost One” in 2006. This is the final year for the luxury car, which Mercedes announced in November it planned to discontinue. Instead, it will focus on the S-Class as its premium luxury models.

The Mercedes Maybach Engineers have unleashed the Maybach Exelero, a 19 foot long 700 horse power Super turbo charged V12 beast with 23 inch tires that reaches top speeds of 218 mph. The entire car is hand built and goes from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. Now that’s crazy.

The supercar was inspired by tire makers Fulda Tyres who wanted to test their new wide tires and demonstrate that their low profile tires could carry 6,000 lbs of weight and reach beyond 200mph. No sports car on our planet has tires this huge.
